8^th International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2007 (Zhukovskiy, August 21-26)

8^th International Aviation and Space Salon “MAKS-2007” gathered a record number of participants: 543 Russian and 243 foreign companies from 110 countries of the world. 279 civil and military aircrafts were demonstrated.

The number of the exhibited technical equipment was 30 percent more than the previous time and the most part of it was the Russian aviation equipment. The opening ceremony of the aviation salon was visited by the president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin who had arrived at it by helicopter. He said that Russia intended to maintain its world leading position in production of the military aviation equipment and to enter the civil aviation market in a more active way.

The famous flight groups “Russkie vityazi” and “Strizhi” demonstrated their professional skills and new aviation programme, and for the first time in the city of Zhukovskiy situated near Moscow the flight group from the aviation center “Sokols of Russia” showed their performance flying the Su-27 aircrafts.

For the first time at the aviation salon Russia presented its S-400 air defense missile system and the items produced by the company Joint Aircraft Construction Corporation. Close attention was devoted to the projects Sukhoi Superjet 100 and GLONASS. The participants managed to have a look on expositions of Germany (25 companies), France (22 companies), USA (13 companies), China (14 companies), Belgium (17 companies), Ukraine (15 companies) and Czech Republic (8 companies).

The exhibition was visited by more than 600 thousand people.

More than 300 business meetings were held within the bounds of the MAKS-2007 business programme. They included the signing of the contracts, options, agreements and protocols of intentions. The participants of MAKS-2007 aviation salon concluded the contracts for the amount of about 3 billion dollars.

On the aviation salon closing day the audience’s attention was attracted by the appearance of the joint flying formation of the flight groups “Russkie vityazi” and “Strizhi” in the sky. Nine combat aircrafts from the staff of the 237th center of the aviation equipment demonstration (Kubinka) for the first time at the MAKS-2007 aviation salon performed the unique flight manoeuvre called “barrel-roll”. The performance was made by five Su-27 and four MiG-29 aircrafts. Then the crews of new MiG-29K (shipborne)aircraft, Mi-35, Mi-38, Mi-28N helicopters demonstrated their professional skills. The demonstration flights at MAKS-2007 on Sunday were concluded by the performance of the US Air Force pilots flying the F-15 aircraft and the famous French group “Patroul de France”.

PLC “Aviazapchast” is the permanent participant of the international aviation salon “MAKS”. It occupied two chalets No.33/34 and the stand in the Exhibition hall A1. The advertising profile about our company was broadcasted by radio. The logotype of the company PLC “Aviazapchast” was placed at two rented advertisement hoardings in Zhukovskiy. In that way we greeted the guests of the aviaition salon. We were visited by the great number of guests and our partners. The permanent participation in the international aviation salons gives us an opportunity of carrying out the efficient monitoring of the international aviation market, getting in contact with the potential partners from the other countries at the level of the government delegations, political and business elite.
