The sixth International Aviation Exhibition Aero India – 2007

The sixth International Aviation Exhibition «Aero India  – 2007» (India, Bangalore, February 7th-10th, 2007)

At the sixth International Aerospace Exhibition «Aero India  – 2007» which was held at the military base Yelahanka Air Force Base in Bangalore City, India, Aviazapchast OJSC again appeared as part of the Russian

About 50 companies from 52 world countries participated in the exhibition. The leading aviation companies from the USA, Russia, Sweden, France, Italy and other countries demonstrated the state-of-the-art airplanes, advanced models of aviation equipment, air-borne equipment, maintenance and repair facilities, as well as navigation and safety systems to the visitors and participants of the exhibition.

As noted by the head of the Russian delegation Viktor Komardin, Deputy Director General of Rosoboronexport federal state unitary enterprise before the exhibition opening, ‘Russia considers the exhibition in Bangalore as the most serious and promising not only from the viewpoint of working in India but in the countries of the whole South-Asian region.’

The Company approached the International aerospace exhibition «Aero India  – 2007» with good results: It signed a few contracts for repair and supply of spare parts and units to transport airplanes and helicopters; in 2006, the Company held a meeting of the board of directors of a joint Indian-Russian company: IRAL (Indo-Russian Aviation Ltd.) where engineering parameters of several projects to be implemented in the Indian economy sector were discussed.

Work at the exhibition was certainly of interest for development and reinforcement of business contacts of Aviazapchast OJSC with foreign and Russian partners, establishing new contacts and developing business relations in the promising aspects, as well as acquaintance with the latest achievements of the Indian aviation industry.

While taking part in the exhibition «Aero India» for the sixth time, Mr. I. Yemelyanov, Director General of «Aviazapchast» OJSC has noted a growing interest of Indian customers to Russian equipment whose repair and maintenance becomes one of the most essential services. Aviazapchast OJSC intends to develop new areas of business activity in this aspect via its Deli representative office, at the same time retaining the level of cooperation with Indian customers.

We use Aero India as an ideal platform for strengthening our contacts with our foreign partners, including the program on re-equipment of the air force and civil aviation. In particular, the matter concerns programs for creating a multi-purpose transport airplane, which we are developing in conjunction with Russia, renewal of the helicopter pool, as well as various programs for design and production of unmanned aircraft. I believe the 2007 exhibition will be not the least successful than Aero India 2005, noted Ashok Bavedja, the leader of the Indian aviation concern KhAL, the business partner of «Aviazapchast» OJSC.
